Our story

Built on character,
not transactions.

Ekko was started by people who'd spent years inside the property industry and grown tired of how it treated the people relying on it. Landlords chased for answers. Tenants treated as line items. Agents who disappeared the moment a contract was signed.

We set out to build something quieter and more deliberate — a small, independent company where the person you speak to is the person making the decision, and where doing the right thing isn't weighed against a quarterly target.

Our ethos is simple: be straight with people, take ownership when things get difficult, and treat every property as if our own name were on the door. We'd rather lose a deal than win one we can't stand behind.

That's the why. The how is the part most companies skip — answering the phone, turning up in person, keeping our word, and staying involved long after the paperwork is filed. It isn't complicated. It's just rare.

Property Redress Scheme

Member of The Property Redress Scheme (no. PRS015905). Independent, free, impartial review if we ever fall short.

Anti-Money Laundering

Supervised by HMRC under the MLR 2017. ID and source-of-funds checks on every sale and where required for landlords.

Tenancy & safety standards

Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, smoke and CO alarms, deposit protection, How to Rent — managed end-to-end, evidenced and stored.

Data protection

Registered with the ICO under ZC092696. Personal data is handled under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Published complaints procedure

A clear, time-bound complaints process — acknowledged in 3 working days, formally responded to in 15. Escalation to redress is your right, not a favour.
